Most audit categories are complex and hence require the auditor to wear no less than five (5) hats simultaneously, namely:

• AUDIT - Executing as per Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
• ACCOUNTING - Understanding accounting as per Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• FINANCE - Understanding financial statements and how they tie in with cash flows
• ENGINEERING - Understanding engineering principles for items such as Utilities or HVAC
• LAW - Legal familiarity in order to interpret contracts, leases, common law, statute of limitations etc.

We can price an audit in a variety of ways to best suit our client; by the project, by the hour, on contingency, or a hybrid.

Generally, all we need to get started is to obtain copies of the following: (i) contracts/leases, (ii) journal entry or cash flow activity (downloaded into excel if possible), and (iii) an actual invoice from the supplier for each of the above categories.
