COMMUNICATION IS VITAL
Direct, honest, and frequent communication is one key to any healthy relationship – including the one with your landlord.
Too often companies without dedicated Lease Admin Departments assume that no communication is good communication when it comes to their landlords.
Ironically, clients of McKenzie have found that, even though we sometimes point out billing errors or kick back increases, the tenant/landlord relationship is almost always, without exception, strengthened by our involvement.
All too often, when we first get involved with our clients’ landlords, we find there are existing festering issues on both sides, mainly due to a lack of communication, which are causing frustration and resentment, and ultimately getting in the way of dealing quickly and smoothly with new issues as they arise. By bringing both sides together to resolve old issues, we frequently gain the trust of the landlord, who is willing to work with us on other issues.
Because our clients’ landlords quickly learn that we are knowledgeable and professional, and do not go after frivolous claims, they soon see us a valuable asset in maintaining a healthy and smooth-running relationship with their tenant.
